Guided 3 Day Noosa Hinterland Biosphere Trail EMTB Tour

- Location: Noosaville, Queensland
- Product code: PLUBE1
There’s a side of Noosa that sits quietly beyond the coastline — a layered hinterland of rainforest, ridgelines, and country roads that reveal themselves only when you move through them.
This multi-day e-mountain bike journey is designed to do exactly that.
Set within the diverse landscapes of the Noosa Biosphere Reserve, the experience unfolds as a private, fully hosted ride through terrain that constantly shifts in character. It’s immersive without being overwhelming. Refined, but grounded. Each day is shaped around you — your pace, your energy, your appetite for technical riding or scenic flow — guided by locals who understand how to read both rider and landscape.
The journey begins in Noosaville, rolling north toward Tewantin along a mix of smooth trails and quiet connectors. It’s an easy introduction, allowing the ride to build naturally before entering the forested networks of Tewantin National Park. Here, the rhythm changes. Subtropical rainforest closes in, and the trails begin to flow — winding singletrack that feels intuitive, with just enough variation to keep it engaging.
Climbing toward Mount Tinbeerwah, the elevation reveals itself gradually. With the support of premium e-MTBs, the ascent becomes part of the experience rather than a barrier. At the summit, the region opens up — coastline, river systems, and hinterland forming a layered panorama that anchors your sense of place.
From here, the route continues inland, linking trails and quiet backroads toward the foothills around Pomona. The landscape begins to open, transitioning from dense forest into a more expansive hinterland setting. The first evening is spent immersed in this quieter side of the region, with a stay at Noosa Eco Retreat. Elevated safari-style yurts sit lightly within the landscape, offering a balance of comfort and simplicity — a place to reset after the first day’s ride, surrounded by nature.
Day two builds on that sense of movement. The ride pushes deeper inland toward Cooran, where the terrain softens into farmland and quiet country roads. Climbing toward James McKane Lookout, the hinterland reveals its scale — wide views stretching across forest and rural landscapes.
From here, the pace shifts again. Optional shuttle uplifts unlock extended gravity-fed riding, where flowing descents wind through forest in long, uninterrupted lines. It’s a different expression of the same terrain — less effort, more flow.
Midway through the day, the ride pauses at the Mothar Mountain Rock Pools. Clear water, granite rock, and a natural place to slow down before continuing on.
By afternoon, you arrive into Kin Kin, where the experience elevates once more.
Accommodation and dining are integral to the journey. At the Kin Kin Hotel, the evening centres around a refined multi-course dining experience showcasing local produce. Alternatively, a stay at Mayan Farm offers a more private setting, with curated farm-to-plate dining prepared by a private chef.
Off the bike, the experience can be extended in ways that match the tone of the journey. Optional additions such as guided hinterland walks, yoga sessions, massage treatments, or bathhouse-style wellness experiences can be layered into the itinerary — offering space to recover, reset, or simply slow the pace. These moments aren’t essential to the ride, but they elevate it, creating a more rounded, immersive stay within the landscape.
The final day traces a return toward the coast, linking hinterland trails and quiet roads in a way that feels cohesive rather than directional. By now, the landscape reads differently — not as separate locations, but as a connected system of forest, farmland, and waterways.
What makes this journey stand apart is the way it comes together.
The terrain is diverse but accessible, thanks to e-MTB assistance. The experience is structured, yet flexible. And the timing — often overlooked — is quietly significant. Through the cooler, drier months from April to September, this region offers consistently rideable conditions, allowing the trails to flow as intended and the journey to unfold without compromise. It’s a window where this style of point-to-point riding feels at its best, particularly within a rainforest setting that holds its character year-round.
Everything else is handled seamlessly. Premium bikes. Expert guides. Transfers, logistics, and optional shuttle support. You simply ride — moving through a version of Noosa that few visitors encounter.
A layered, point-to-point hinterland experience. Refined, immersive, and distinctly Australian.
